Local pottery artists from Fired Up Studios donated over 300 beautiful, hand thrown bowls which were sold to racing fans and then filled by Canterbury with free ice cream, chili or wild rice soup. A silent auction included paintings and cultural items brought back by medical team members from Peru and Africa. Also included in the silent auction were a furnace from Standard Heating and Air Conditioning along with many university courses on CD and DVD from The Teaching Company that included Shakespeare, Egyptian history and music courses which were popular items with our auction bidders. HeartScan Minnesota donated diagnostic heart scans as well for the silent auction.
